PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS Level II

Course Description

The profession of a private investigator is an old, exciting and fulfilling one. Countless movies and television series continue to be made based on detectives work for the sheer excitement the profession can offer. But not always. Private investigations may be exciting but can also be dangerous work. In the least, it is a profession that requires knowledge, skills, and knowhow to do the job right.

This course is developed to introduce you to the essentials of private investigations. It introduces you to the profession, its duties, processes and procedures, the major crimes, and how to investigate them, crime scene management opportunities and ethics.

A detective needs to be discreet and effective in his work. This course builds on those skills required for effectiveness at work because the work of an investigator more often than not ends up on the record and is usually relied upon in evidence before courts of law. 

This course is developed as a refresher for those already practicing or as an introduction for beginners. Any beginner should start practicing under an experienced investigator after completion of the course. In a year’s time, the learner can take the next course for private investigators. This is a level II course for which a certificate will be issued after passing the final exam. A diploma will be issued after completion of the Level III & IV courses.

This course is offered in conjunction with Elite Academy eLearning, all applicants for this course should meet the following criteria
Form Four-Level Certification or its Equivalent

  2. Proficiency in basic computer use,
  3. or Proven Working experience in the security industry
  4. or Practicing private investigator.
